Head barber Christine has 40 years of experience cutting men’s hair. She left her hometown in Quebec and fell in love with BC and Oak Bay 1995. A year later she took over as the owner of the well known shop Nick’s Hair Salon. Christine instantly transformed the barber shop to create a warm, friendly and relaxing space for men to decompress during their hair cut.

Since 1996, she has proven herself to be one of the best barbers in the city by keeping up to date on the trends in men’s hair cuts. All the barbers are concentrated on men’s hair cut and razor shave for men and boys of all ages.

After years of searching, I finally found a great hairdresser in Christine at Nick's Hair Salon. She is skilled and also a wonderful genuine person. I always felt comfortable asking questions and talking through ideas with her. So much experience. She did a great job prioritizing my preferences while also answering questions and giving her advice.

I have been living in Victoria, BC for six years now and have tried numerous hairdressers. When I lived in Vancouver I usually went to Suki's to have my hair cut, because they are the best in town. Several months ago I found a small, family-owned hairdressing salon just 10 minutes from where I now live. I am very happy to say that Christine does an excellent job! My hair is always perfectly even on both sides, which other hairdressers in Victoria, don't seem able to do. Christine has cut my hair twice now and every time, it has been perfect! This small salon may be difficult to spot, but it's well worth your time to find it and get Christine to cut it for you.

This is a really good place to get a haircut, I’d argue it’s the best in Victoria. Give them a chance, you won’t be upset. Hairdressers are very friendly and professional, and they actually care about how the hair looks in the end, unlike other places. The price is very reasonable, and for the service that is given, it’s a good deal.

I've been going to Nick's Hair Salon for well over a decade now. Christine has always taken pride in running a clean and competitive barbershop, and she has always been concerned with achieving 100% customer satisfaction. Christine and her staff are taking cleanliness very seriously during these difficult times, and I felt comfortable returning there for a haircut after many months away during quarantine.
